Put simply we need healthy serves with flavour loaded choices to keep us going and of course a well reviewed restaurant attracts us thanks to Google review and of course the wonderful kitchen in there brought the goods. It was all delicious and honestly if I was from this region it was probably what I'd ask my Mum to cook for me to keep the fire burning bright. We chose the the cheese risotto and a goats cheese salad to get started. Goats cheese medallions baked I think oh dear and the risotto was really really delicious. We did not need to make a booking but it is off peak season now and there was still plenty of diners by the time we left.
Simply excellent. Fantastic staff, beautiful place, easy to access and with tons of close by parking. Food was fantastic, especially the caneloni foie!! Pizzas are also superb. Orders come quick and wine is a must!! The 21 euro menu is perfect. Outstanding little gem of a place if you ever come through here.
What a joyful surprise! We came here following comments from people as a very good one, but it actually exceeded all our expectations. Not easy to park next to it (on weekends), but once you achieve that and you manage to get in the show starts: cosy mountain deco, feels like mum's place, not huge, but good enough to hold our gang easily (we were 10 people). The menu is ok, but the very best is to choose one of the set menus (for 2,3 or 4 people). We chose the "menu degustació" (tasting menu) and was amazingly great, and even better considering the price 35€/person for foie, beef carpaccio, anxovies, cod salad, home typical fried potato with mushrooms sauce, mixed hams, foie caneloni, lamb, red prawns, dessert and wine (well known Rioja). A-MAIZING!! Another hidden gem is the wine list: not huge either, but very good selection and, most important, at a very reasonable price (I even doubt if they do any business with the wines!). The food is amazing! Order entranta de verdella, it’s one of the best meat dishes I’ve tried here in Spain. The service is a bit slow but the food was worth waiting for!

A traditional restaurant with typical Catalan food and delicious local specialities, 5 minutes walk from the centre of Ribes. You can eat a la card or choose the set menu, everything is delicious, though the cannelloni, both the mushroom and the shrimp ones, are a must! The only suggestion is that if you are into your wine, you may want to avoid the house red ;) The service is excellent too, rapid and friendly. There's free parking on the left, just before the restaurant, or you can leave the car a bit further up on the side of the road. Warning: the portions are enormous, and we did get a whole fuet as our free appetizer, so make sure you work a good appetite beforehand!
